A Danish Vocal Ensemble
Vox Nordic is a vocal ensemble with a professional standard from the Northern Jutland in Denmark.
It was established in 2020 by Solveig B. Særkjær Skovgård, organist in “Vor Frelsers Kirke” in Aalborg. The ensemble has 9 members.
Vox Nordic likes to sing new nordic choirmusic, both church and secular music. Through concerts we are trying to extend people´s knowledge of this music.

The ensemble especially likes to sing compositions rooted in gregorian music and folktunes composed by living composers.

For the concert in Frikirkjan we have planned a programme with music from Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Ireland and Iceland; it is primarily performed as a capella music, but also with accompainment by piano and didgeridoo; one of the choirsingers has composed 2 pieces for choir and didgeridoo and he is playing at the concert.
